Neptronic SKR - low capacity resistive steam humidifier

This unique compact resistive steam humidifier will improve health and comfort in the home or office as well as safeguarding valuable objects and eliminating static electricity.

It can be used in duct with a steam lance or in-room with an integral fan unit assembly.

The SKR is easy to install, has very low maintenance and doesn’t require plastic cylinders making it much more convenient and environmentally friendly than electrode humidifiers. A unique scale management system and self-cleaning heating elements ensures limescale build-up is kept to a minimum and what little scale is produced can be easily disposed of.

 Features of the SKR
  • Capacities from 3.5 - 5.5kg steam per hour

  • On/off operation

  • Self-cleaning elements

  • Siphon drain requires no drain valve or external tap

  • Simple control wiring using pre-assembled cables with telephone jacks

  • Easy to install, operate and maintain

  • 230v single phase power supply

  • Lifetime guarantee on cleanable stainless steel evaporation chamber
  •  In-room and in-duct models
The Neptronic SKR is available with an integral fan unit for use directly in a room or with a steam lance for use in a duct.

Both models have easily accessible internal components making maintenance simple.

    The in-duct kit comes with:

  • Neptronic SKR humidifier

  • Steam pipe & distribution manifold

  • Humidity controller (HC) with setpoint adjustment

  • Airflow/humidity level sensor (AHLS)

  • Optional window sensor (OTW) to prevent condensation build-up
  •  In-duct SKR
    In-duct SKR
The Neptronic SKR is situated next to the duct with the steam pipe feeding steam into the air stream via the distribution manifold.

The humidity controller (HC) is located inside the duct as the air returns to the AHU. It monitors the humidity level of the returning air and adjusts the humidifier’s output accordingly.

A sensor (AHLS) is located inside the duct just after the steam manifold and monitors the air flow and humidity level. This is a safety feature that will shut the unit down if the AHU stops functioning or the humidity level becomes too high.

An optional window sensor (OTW) monitors temperature and will prevent condensation build-up.

All electrical connections are made using simple telephone jack-type sockets for ease of installation.
